League Rules
Registration: UNO League is an individual-player league. No partner or team is required to register.
Tables: Players will be assigned to tables each league night. Table assignments may rotate throughout the season so players compete against different opponents.
Ready Set Fun UNO House Rules
Important: Ready Set Fun uses custom UNO House Rules. These rules intentionally differ from traditional UNO rules, including allowing Draw 2 and Wild Draw 4 stacking. These rules will be used for Ready Set Fun UNO League play.
Starting Hand: Each player begins with 7 cards.
Objective: Be the first player to play all cards from your hand. When a player plays their final card, the hand ends and scoring is recorded.
Playing a Card: On your turn, you may play a card matching the current color, number, or symbol, or play an eligible Wild card.
Unable to Play: If you cannot—or choose not to—play a card from your hand, draw one card. If the card drawn can legally be played, you may play it immediately. Otherwise, your turn ends.
Draw 2 Stacking: A Draw 2 may be stacked on another Draw 2. Each additional Draw 2 adds two cards to the accumulated penalty. The first player unable or unwilling to continue the stack must draw the entire accumulated penalty and loses their turn.
Wild Draw 4 Stacking: A Wild Draw 4 may be stacked on another Wild Draw 4. Each additional Wild Draw 4 adds four cards to the accumulated penalty. The first player unable or unwilling to continue the stack must draw the entire accumulated penalty and loses their turn.
Mixing Draw Cards: Draw 2 and Wild Draw 4 cards cannot be mixed in the same stack. A Draw 2 can only be answered with another Draw 2, and a Wild Draw 4 can only be answered with another Wild Draw 4.
Wild Draw 4: Ready Set Fun does not use the traditional Wild Draw 4 challenge rule. A Wild Draw 4 may be played regardless of whether the player has another playable color in their hand.
Skip: The next player in the current direction of play loses their turn.
Reverse: The direction of play reverses. If only two players remain at a table, Reverse functions as a Skip and the player who played it takes the next turn.
Wild: The player who plays a Wild chooses the color that continues play.
Jump-In: Not allowed. Players must wait for their proper turn even if they possess an identical card.
7-0 Rule: Not used. Playing a 7 does not allow players to swap hands, and playing a 0 does not rotate hands.
Calling UNO: When a player reaches one card, they must call “UNO.” If another player catches them before the next player's turn begins, the player who failed to call UNO must draw 2 cards. Once the next player's turn has begun, the missed call can no longer be challenged.
Going Out on an Action Card: Players may play an action card as their final card. Any applicable draw penalty must still be completed before the hand is scored.
Illegal Plays: Cards must be played according to the active color, number, symbol, and Ready Set Fun House Rules. Illegal plays may result in a penalty determined by Ready Set Fun staff.
Card Visibility: Players must keep their cards concealed from opponents. Players may not intentionally reveal another player's cards or communicate information about another player's hand.
No Coaching: Spectators and other players may not coach, signal, or provide advice to a player during an active game.
Stalling: Players are expected to play at a reasonable pace. Intentional stalling may result in a warning and, for repeated violations, a penalty determined by Ready Set Fun staff.
Sportsmanship: Cheating, abusive behavior, intentionally disrupting play, or repeated rule violations may result in warnings, loss of league points, game forfeiture, or removal from league play.
Staff Decisions: Ready Set Fun staff have final authority on rule interpretations, disputes, penalties, scoring decisions, and situations not specifically covered by these House Rules.
League Scoring, Format & Standings
Table Size: League play will consist of 4 players per table whenever participation allows.
Round Length: Each league round is 30 minutes.
End of Round: When the 30-minute timer expires, players will finish the current hand. No new hand will begin after time expires.
Round Scoring: At the completion of the final hand, each player's accumulated UNO card score for the round will determine their finishing position. The lowest score wins.
Table Placement:
1st Place — Lowest score
2nd Place — Second-lowest score
3rd Place — Third-lowest score
4th Place — Highest score
League Points:
1st Place — 5 standings points
2nd Place — 3 standings points
3rd Place — 2 standings points
4th Place — 1 standings point
Tied Scores: If two or more players finish a round with the same score, the tied players will play a one-hand tiebreaker. The player who goes out first earns the higher finishing position. If necessary, additional hands will be played until the tie is resolved.
Weekly Rotation: Table assignments may rotate throughout the season so players compete against a variety of opponents.
Fewer Than Four Players: If attendance results in fewer than four players at a table, Ready Set Fun may adjust table assignments or the night's format to maintain fair competition.
Standings points accumulate throughout all 11 regular-season league weeks and determine each player's position in the Fall 2026 UNO League standings.
Standings will be updated throughout the season so players can follow their progress toward the League Championship.
If two or more players finish the regular season tied in total standings points, the following season tiebreakers will be used in order:
- Most 1st-place table finishes
- Most 2nd-place table finishes
- Head-to-head results when applicable
- Lowest accumulated UNO score when applicable
- Random draw if players remain tied
Final regular-season standings will determine seeding and qualification for the Fall 2026 UNO League Championship on Thursday, December 10.
League Policies
Attendance & Check-In: Players should check in between 5:30–5:55 PM and be ready for league play beginning at 6:00 PM.
Absences: Players who know they will miss a league night should notify Ready Set Fun as soon as possible. Because standings are individual, missed league nights may affect a player's position in the standings.

Late Arrivals: Late players may miss scheduled games or rounds. Ready Set Fun will make reasonable accommodations when possible but cannot guarantee makeup opportunities.
Schedule Changes: Ready Set Fun reserves the right to adjust table assignments, weekly formats, schedules, or number of games when necessary based on attendance and league participation.
Sportsmanship: Respectful conduct toward other players, spectators, and Ready Set Fun staff is required. Repeated unsportsmanlike conduct may result in loss of league points or removal from the league without refund.
Rule Decisions: Ready Set Fun staff have final authority on league rules, disputes, scoring decisions, table assignments, and situations not specifically addressed in the published rules.
Registration & Refunds: Registration covers the full Fall 2026 season. Registration fees are non-refundable once league play begins, except when otherwise approved by Ready Set Fun.
Championship Eligibility: Players must remain in good standing and meet league participation requirements to qualify for the December 10 League Championship.
