Event Staff I

Position Overview

Ready Set Fun Entertainment is seeking dependable, energetic, and safety-focused Event Staff to assist with on-site event operations. This position primarily focuses on supervising inflatable equipment, ensuring safe usage, and protecting company assets during events. Event Staff may also assist with delivery, setup, breakdown, and pickup as needed.

This role requires physical strength, alertness, professionalism, and the ability to enforce safety rules in a positive and respectful manner.

Key Responsibilities

Event Supervision & Safety (Primary Responsibility)

  • Oversee proper use of bounce houses and inflatable equipment during events
  • Enforce all safety rules, rider limits, and usage guidelines
  • Prevent overcrowding, rough play, flips, or unsafe behavior
  • Ensure no shoes, food, drinks, gum, or sharp objects enter inflatables
  • Monitor weather conditions and alert supervisor if shutdown is required
  • Act as on-site security for company equipment
  • Protect rental equipment from misuse, theft, or damage
  • Address rule violations calmly, firmly, and professionally
  • Remain alert and attentive throughout the duration of the event

Equipment Inspection & Monitoring

  • Conduct routine equipment checks during events
  • Inspect anchoring systems (stakes, sandbags), blowers, and power connections
  • Identify and report any damage, wear, or safety concerns
  • Document incidents or equipment issues when necessary
  • Ensure equipment remains clean and presentable

Occasional Delivery, Setup & Pickup

  • Assist with loading and unloading equipment
  • Lift, carry, push, or hold equipment weighing 100+ pounds (team lifting required when necessary)
  • Assist with proper anchoring and setup of inflatables
  • Help deflate, clean, sanitize, fold, and pack equipment
  • Ensure all equipment and accessories are accounted for before departure
  • Secure equipment properly for safe transportation

Customer Service & Representation

  • Provide guests and clients with clear safety instructions
  • Answer basic event-related questions
  • Maintain a friendly and professional attitude
  • Represent Ready Set Fun Entertainment with integrity and respect
  • Communicate concerns or customer issues to management promptly

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift and maneuver 100+ pounds
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Strong physical stamina and endurance
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and assertive when enforcing rules
  • Weekend and evening availability required
  • Reliable transportation

Physical Requirements
