Position Overview
Ready Set Fun Entertainment is seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-focused Event Staff II to serve in a supervisory role during events. This position is responsible for overseeing event operations, managing Event Staff team members, ensuring equipment safety and proper usage, and protecting company assets on-site.
The Event Staff II serves as the primary on-site authority and company representative, ensuring events operate safely, professionally, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
- Lead and supervise Event Staff team members during events
- Assign roles and ensure staff remain attentive and proactive
- Enforce company policies and safety procedures
- Provide guidance and coaching to junior staff
- Serve as the primary point of contact between staff and management during events
- Maintain accountability for overall event performance and safety
Event Oversight & Safety Monitoring
- Oversee proper use of bounce houses and inflatable equipment
- Enforce safety rules, rider limits, and usage guidelines
- Prevent overcrowding, rough play, flips, or unsafe behavior
- Monitor weather conditions and initiate shutdown procedures when necessary
- Act as on-site security for all rental equipment
- Address rule violations calmly, firmly, and professionally
- Manage crowd flow and ensure orderly use of inflatables
- Document incidents, injuries, or equipment concerns
Equipment Inspection & Quality Control
- Conduct detailed equipment inspections during events
- Check anchoring systems (stakes, sandbags), blowers, and power sources
- Identify wear, damage, or safety risks
- Ensure equipment remains clean, secure, and event-ready
- Complete incident or damage reports as required
Occasional Delivery, Setup & Breakdown
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment
- Lift, carry, push, or hold equipment weighing 100+ pounds (team lifting required when appropriate)
- Assist with proper anchoring and setup of inflatables
- Support breakdown, deflation, cleaning, and secure loading
- Ensure all inventory and accessories are accounted for before departure
- Secure equipment properly for safe transportation
Customer Service & Company Representation
- Provide clear safety instructions to customers and guests
- Handle customer questions or minor concerns professionally
- Escalate significant issues to management when necessary
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times
- Represent Ready Set Fun Entertainment with integrity and confidence
Qualifications
- Ability to lift and maneuver 100+ pounds
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to remain calm and assertive in high-energy environments
- Reliable transportation
- Weekend and evening availability required
- Prior event supervision or leadership experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Working in heat, cold, or light rain
- Ability to operate hand trucks and basic equipment
