Sanitation Specialist

Position Overview

Ready Set Fun Entertainment is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Sanitation Specialist responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall condition of all inflatables and rental equipment. This role plays a critical part in protecting customer safety, preserving equipment quality, and upholding the company’s reputation for clean, professional rentals.

The Sanitation Specialist ensures that every inflatable and piece of equipment is properly cleaned, disinfected, inspected, and event-ready before returning to inventory.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Sanitization

  • Thoroughly clean and disinfect all bounce houses and inflatable units after each rental
  • Sanitize high-contact areas including entry points, climbing walls, slides, and interior surfaces
  • Clean and disinfect additional rental equipment (tables, chairs, concessions machines, barricades, etc.)
  • Remove debris, dirt, grass, mud, tape, gum, or foreign objects from equipment
  • Ensure all inflatables are fully dry before folding and storage
  • Follow company-approved cleaning and disinfecting procedures

Equipment Inspection

  • Inspect inflatables for tears, loose stitching, worn seams, or anchor point damage
  • Check blowers, extension cords, and accessories for wear or malfunction
  • Report any damage or maintenance concerns immediately
  • Document cleaning completion and equipment condition
  • Tag and separate damaged equipment for repair

Storage & Organization

  • Properly fold and store inflatables according to company standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse or storage area
  • Label and organize accessories and components
  • Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored
  • Assist in maintaining an organized inventory system

Quality Control

  • Ensure all equipment meets cleanliness standards before being approved for next rental
  • Perform final visual inspections before equipment is staged for delivery
  • Maintain a consistent standard of presentation and professionalism

Safety & Compliance

  • Use proper protective equipment when handling cleaning chemicals
  • Follow all safety guidelines when operating cleaning equipment
  • Lift, carry, push, or maneuver heavy inflatables (100+ pounds) as required
  • Assist with occasional loading or unloading when needed
  • Maintain safe work environment at all times

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and maneuver 100+ pounds
  • Comfortable working in warehouse or outdoor environments
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong work ethic

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in cleaning, sanitation, or custodial work
  • Basic knowledge of equipment inspection
  • Familiarity with inflatables or event rental equipment

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent lifting, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Working in heat, humidity, or warehouse conditions
  • Ability to operate hand trucks, blowers, and basic tools
